Raymond – The Complete Man – Circle of life

Click to watch the ad wait......let me just wipe off my tears that came while watching this ad..sob sob 😢 Ok..so let's get started. The ad says " stepping into your father’s shoes is not just about growing up, it's also about becoming a ‘father' to the man who once brought you up". In short, be a father to the man who bought you up as thats the time when they need us the most. Firstly, the brand Raymond is almost as reliable as a Father. I rememeber watching its ads even as kid so it's that old and traditional. Raymond ads have always been on the emotional side and tried to impress the audience that ways. This one in particular has so many positive reviews, most of them acknowledging that it is emotional. HOWEVER, the irony is Raymond's current CEO, Mr. Gautam Singhania, had a legal fight with his father, Vijaypat Singhania, over company ownership earlier. I mean do they even watch their own ads? Pantaloons : Style Your Change

What a cute ad to start writing about. Over the years the advertisers have learnt to use and tweak this emotion of 'sweet innocent romance', be that be the Cadbury 'Shubh Arambh' ad or this one. I mean come on, who doesn't like to be remembered of the first time they had butterflies in their stomach watching someone special? The background and ambience of the ad speaks Diwali, lights, decoration, sweets and ofcourse clothes. The ad has a sweet young girl who is talking about her brother's cute friend, who considers her as a little girl and refers to as ' chutki '. When one day, in the Pantaloons store, while shopping for Diwali, he catches a different look of hers and falls for her. That's how Pantaloons change the way you look and how people look at you ;) However, I was a bit unconvinced that later in the ad, chutki ' s brother asks her and the cute friend to go on their own separately.
